Fate of the Therns?[]
Now, its a bit confusing but in warlord of mars some are mentioned as being under the rule of a new leader, he is not named and his race is not specified referred to as he, and after in the book it is said some swore alliance to xodar. . . but as far as i can tell that is all that is known. - Are you referencing the original book, or the comic book adaptation?
- If I recall correctly, in the original book series, by the time the events of Thuvia kick off, the Therns have become a broken, scattered people, and most of them have turned to mercenary work. I'll see if I can find it in my Dover edition... -- Gnostic 19:07, November 11, 2010 (UTC)
I am referring to the books, i havent read any of the comic book series yet. According to it some found guidance under an unspecified new leader, and otehrs under the black martians, ad some remained loyal to the false religion maintaining temples in countries that still followed htat religion, and some just wandered away. - That is in Warlord. I've managed to find my Dover edition of 3 Martian Novels. In Thuvia, Maid of Mars, which takes place several years after the events of Warlord of Mars, the therns have become integrated into Red Martian society. Later, in Chessmen of Mars, it's mentioned in passing that a "little band" of therns had been attempting to resurrect their cult, but it is implied that even among their own people, they found little success. -- Gnostic 04:55, November 12, 2010 (UTC)
