Parthak is a young Red Martian man who served as John Carter's prison guard when Carter was captured by the usurper Zat Arrras and kept chained in a cell. Parthak is a fiercely loyal Zodangan but was tricked by Carthoris into revealing John Carter's location thereby enabling him to be rescued.
