This is the second issue of Dejah Thoris and the Green Men of Mars.
Summary[]
Dejah resists the Green Martian from placing a collar on her neck but her resistance is fruitless as the brute secures it in place. She sees that she is not the only captive, countless women are enchained around her with various limbs missing. Some even hanging from the ceiling like meat. Voro tells her that many of his clients wish to savor her flesh. She calls him a monster, only for him to laugh stating that is what she really thinks of Tharks. He tells her the peace is false. He sadistaclly tells her that the irony of her meat will be given to his customers at the Red-And-Green Festival. He even intends to slip a piece to Tars Tarkas as revenge for killing Hok.
He leaves the chamber leaving the princess to despair. One woman tells her that Voro is hers. She introduce herself as Teevine.
